Birthday Card Making

The card above is one of the design choices for Birthday card. Sorry, I don't know why I did not take the picture of the other design.

Materials:
  • 1 - 5.5" x 8.5" Yellow texture card stock
  • 1 - 5.5" x 3.0" Green polka dot color paper
  • 1 - 2.0" x 2.0" Yellow texture card stock
  • 1 - 1.5" x 1.5" Cake picture
  • 1 - Star brad
  • 1 Small doubled sided foam

Tools:

  • Glue Stick
  • Embossing tool
  • Happy Birthday brass embossing template
  • Light table
  • Wide scallop cutter
  • Straight paper cutter
  • Hole puncher
  • Fine sanding block

Malinda had all the materials and tools we need neatly lay on her huge long table.

Instructions:
  1. We begin first by gluing the green polka dots paper on the yellow texture base card.
  2. Then glue the blue square line strip paper across the green polka dot paper.
  3. Next we take the cake picture and glue it on the a small yellow square.
  4. Then finished the cake picture with a star brad on candle.
  1. Next we embossed "Happy Birthday" on the yellow card by placing the brass embossing template underneath the yellow card.

  2. Then place the yellow card and embossing template on top of the lighting table and emboss with the embossing tool. Note: don't not press too soft or to hard with your embossing tool.

  3. Now we used the fine sanding block and sand on the right side of the embossed "Happy Birthday" lettering.

  4. The final step is to stick the emblished cake picture on the card with the small double sided foam.
And I made this Birthday card in the activity.
